Today, my friends, is
National Gumdrop Day!
Who knew?
I, among 4 other contributors, was asked to create a project using gumdrops for a Studio 5 project.
I came up with a great centerpiece for Spring/Easter:
Here is what you need:
Tree branches
Spray paint
Hot glue
Vases(s)
Gumdrops, of course!
First, spray paint your branches to your desired color. I chose silver. It would be fun to do a crackle paint, don't you think?
Fill your small vase with beans and place your branches inside. Then place your small vase into your large one.
Separate (or don't, it's up to you), your gumdrops into color schemes.
Layer your colors into your large vase surrounding your small vase Next, hot glue all your cute, little gumdrops on the branches of your tree. A good tip to use is to glue the gumdrops where you see previous growth from leaves before.
It's fun to change up the vases. I put my small vase into this antiqued white vase, then set it on a platter with gumdrops on for serving.
